How much does a plumbing job cost?
Every job gets a firm quote before a tool comes out, and there is no call-out fee. A washer swap and a repipe land in different places, but you approve the figure first.
Do you charge a call-out fee?
No. Getting a licensed plumber to your door here costs nothing, and the $0 call out applies to every job, big or small. You only pay for work you approved from the quote.
Do you offer same-day plumbing?
Yes, same-day where the schedule allows. A burst pipe flooding a wall cavity jumps ahead of a slow shower drain, and when you ring we will tell you honestly where your job sits.
Why is the water pressure so low in my house?
In many of the older cottages, the original galvanised supply line has rusted shut and choked the flow. Sectional repipes in copper or PEX are routine work here and bring the pressure back.
Why do drains keep blocking on the older streets?
Under the original village grid, the sewer is often century-old earthenware with perished joints, set in reactive clay. Roots push into every hairline crack each dry spell, so repeat blockages mean shifted joints.

How the quote actually works
The quote comes before anything starts, and it is the number you pay. There is no hourly meter running while we poke around, and no surprise added at the end for materials or disposal.
What moves the price is the job itself:
- Access, because a pipe behind easy sheeting is a different day to one boxed into a brick-veneer wall
- Age of the pipework, since a fitting on original galv takes more care than one on modern plastic
- Whether the fix is a repair or a replacement, which we flag honestly rather than upselling
If the quote changes once we open something up, we stop, show you why and re-price before continuing. You are never committed to a figure you have not seen.
Local housing notes worth knowing
This suburb was laid out in 1904 during the coalfields land boom, and the housing arrived in waves that still shape the plumbing. A few patterns come up on calls week after week:

- If water is going somewhere it should not, find the meter and check whether the isolating tap turns
